In the above leak, DCS has revealed the battery capacity of an upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered smartphone. While he has not mentioned the name of the device, it seems that he could be talking about the 15 Ultra.
As per the leak, the device will come equipped with a massive 6,000mAh battery and support 90W wired charging. It is likely that the device may also offer 50W wireless charging.
In terms of camera capabilities, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to flaunt a Leica quad-camera system. The primary sensor is a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-900 primary sensor with a 1-inch super large base, featuring a variable aperture (F1.6/F2.2) and CMOS displacement stabilization technology. Complementing this will be a 50-megapixel Sony IMX858 telephoto lens, a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens using Samsung’s HP9 sensor, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens.
The HP9 sensor is particularly noteworthy for its exceptional low-light performance, producing clear 12-megapixel images with a pixel size of 2.24?m. Another leak by tipster Smart Pikachu reveals that the Xiaomi is currently testing full-focus macro zoom capabilities, promising superior clarity at all focal lengths.
Design-wise, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to feature a 2K quad-curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate and high-frequency PWM dimming for eye protection. The Snapdragon 8 Elite chip is expected to be complemented with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The rear camera module will continue Xiaomi’s signature circular design but with innovative arrangements, paired with a metal frame and new back material for enhanced aesthetics.
