Xiaomi recently confirmed that it will hold a launch event by the end of this month in China. The event will see the arrival of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra and Xiaomi 15 Ultra. It appears that the brand has started teasing the arrival of the 15 Ultra as it has released its first official camera sample.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra camera sample

Xiaomi founder, chairman, and CEO Lei Jun has shared the first camera sample of the 15 Ultra through his Weibo account. As seen in the image, it was captured using the 15 Ultra’s Leica lens at a 100mm focal length, with an f/2.6 aperture, a shutter speed of 1/25th of a second, and an ISO of 5000.
It appears that the image was taken using the 15 Ultra’s 200-megapixel Samsung HP9 periscope telephoto camera, which is said to have an f/2.6 aperture and a 100mm focal length. The sensor is also reported to support 4.3x optical zoom and up to 120x digital zoom
Apart from the periscope camera, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra’s camera setup is expected to include a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-900 primary camera. It is expected to be complemented by a Samsung JN5 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 50-megapixel IMX858 telephoto camera.
Under the hood, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite, up to 16 GB of RAM, up to 1 TB of storage, and a massive 6,000mAh battery with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. On the front, it is expected to feature a 6.8-inch micro-quad-curved AMOLED panel that offers a 2K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner.
Xiaomi is yet to confirm the Xiaomi 15 Ultra’s launch date. Rumors indicate that the brand may hold a launch event on Feb. 27 or Feb. 28 in China.
