In October, Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro as the world’s first Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered smartphones. Currently, these devices are only available in China, but they are expected to be released in the global market by the first quarter of 2025. While the news of the global release is yet to gain traction, the rumor mill has already started leaking details about the Xiaomi 16 series.
Xiaomi 16 series screen size options (rumored)
According to tipster Smart Pikachu, the large-sized models in the next generation of flagship phones will feature a 6.8-inch screen. On the other hand, the smaller flagships across different manufacturers will adopt either 6.6-inch or 6.3-inch displays.
The leaker has used the Xiaomi 16 hashtag in the above leak, which suggests that the Xiaomi 16 Pro will feature a 6.8-inch display, whereas the Xiaomi 16 may come equipped with a 6.3-inch screen like the Xiaomi 15.
This year’s Vivo X200 series includes three models, such as the Vivo X200, X200 Pro Mini, and X200 Pro. The display panels of these devices measure 6.31-inch, 6.67-inch, and 6.78-inch, respectively. There’s a possibility that the X300 series may include three models, featuring a Vivo X300 with a 6.6-inch screen, the Vivo X300 Pro Mini with a 6.3-inch display, and the Vivo X300 Pro with a slightly bigger 6.8-inch screen.
The Oppo Find X9 series may also adopt a 6.6-inch screen for the X9 and a 6.8-inch panel for the X9 Pro. Given that the arrival of these flagship phones is almost a year away, it is advisable to approach the leak with caution.
