Xiaomi has recently released the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra in the global market. At the same time, the brand is also said to be working on the Xiaomi 16, 16 Pro, and 16 Ultra. While the Ultra edition is expected to launch next year, the other two models may break cover in October of this year. Recent reports have suggested that the Xiaomi 16 may arrive with several upgrades over its predecessor.
To recall, the Xiaomi 15 features a 6.36-inch OLED panel, a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a 50-megapixel (main) + 50-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 50-megapixel (telephoto) triple camera unit, HyperOS 2-based Android 15, and a 5,400mAh battery with 90W fast charging. A recent Weibo post by tipster Smart Pikachu suggests that the Xiaomi 16 will arrive with improvements in departments like design, display, camera, operating system, and battery size.
Xiaomi 16 specifications leaked

According to the tipster, the Xiaomi 16 will feature a 6.3-inch OLED panel with a flat design. The screen will be surrounded by ultra-slim bezels on all four sides.
Speaking of the design, the Xiaomi 16 is said to be equipped with a thin and light form factor. The device is expected to run on HyperOS 3, which is likely to be overlaid on Android 16.
The Xiaomi 16’s 50-megapixel triple camera setup is also tipped to feature a periscope telephoto camera as per a previous leak. The new leak also states that the device will pack the largest battery ever seen on a smartphone equipped with a 6.3-inch screen. This indicates that the device may feature a 6,500mAh to 7,000mAh capacity battery.
