Xiaomi is expected to unveil the Xiaomi 16, Xiaomi 16 Pro (tentative name), and Xiaomi 16 Pro+ in September in China. In a new Weibo post, tipster Digital Chat Station has seemingly shared details about the standard Xiaomi 16. Here’s a look at the details shared by the tipster.
Xiaomi 16 key details tipped

The leak suggests that the standard Xiaomi 16 will feature a 6.3-inch flat display while housing a massive battery. The capacity is said to be at least 500mAh higher than other competing devices in its segment. Likely, the capacity could be 6,500mAh, considering that the Vivo X300 is expected to feature a 6,000mAh battery.
The Xiaomi 16 is expected to support around 100W wired charging and wireless charging as well. Other details include the use of LIPO narrow bezel technology for slimmer edges, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for improved security, and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. While its telephoto camera may not match some rivals, the overall imaging system is tipped to be well-balanced.
Reports indicate that the Xiaomi 16 series could debut Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset. Most likely, it may debut by the end of September. On the other hand, competing phones such as the Vivo X300 and Oppo Find X9 series, which are said to feature the Dimensity 9500, are expected to debut in October.
As a reference, the Xiaomi 15 featured a 5,400mAh battery, 90W charging, and a triple 50-megapixel rear camera setup. The upcoming Xiaomi 16 standard model appears set to bring a more powerful combination of compact size and flagship features.
