Since the Xiaomi 17 series is scheduled to launch this month in China, the company has started teasing its design. While the Xiaomi 17 will arrive with a standard design, the Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max have been recently teased to feature a secondary rear display. While the recent teaser only gave a glimpse of the phone’s back panel, a new teaser rolled out today gives a good look at its entire rear design.
Xiaomi 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max rear design revealed
The back panel of the Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max has a large secondary display. It is a customizable screen that allows users to apply different clock themes, animated wallpapers, virtual avatars, and more. It can also be used as a viewfinder for capturing top-notch selfies using the rear camera setup.
As can be seen, the Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max are equipped with three cameras on the back. Two of them are placed inside the display, whereas the remaining lens is positioned just below it.
According to reports, the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Pro Max will have the same 50-megapixel main camera and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens. However, both phones are said to feature a different periscope telephoto camera.
The Xiaomi 17 Pro is said to be a compact offering equipped with a 6.3-inch display, whereas the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max is expected to house a larger 6.8-inch display. These devices are said to be powered by a 6,300mAh and a 7,500mAh battery, respectively.
One of the major highlights of the Xiaomi 17 series is that the entire lineup will feature the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. Rumors suggest that the Xiaomi 17 lineup may debut on Sept. 26 in China.
