Last year in November, Razer had launched the gaming-centric Razer Phone smartphone. Rumors have it that the upcoming Meizu E3 phone may include a gaming-focused variant. Nubia is also expected to launch a gaming phone soon. Recent leaks had revealed that Xiaomi may soon introduce a new sub-brand called BlackShark. It seems that the new brand may launch a gaming-centric smartphone as a BlackShark phone has been found benchmarked on AnTuTu.
According to AnTuTu listing, the BlackShark smartphone is running on Android 8.0 Oreo. It is fueled by Snapdragon 845 chipset that includes Adreno 630 chipset. It features full HD+ resolution display. Since it is rumored to be a gaming phone, it may include a larger display. Hence, it may house a 6-inch or larger display. The handset has recorded an average AnTuTu benchmarking score of 270,680.
The AnTuTu score of the phone is quite good as it is slightly lower than Nubia NX606J smartphone that scored 271,674. The Nubia NX606J could be the gaming-centric Nubia Z18/Z19 smartphone. BlackShark’s AnTuTu score is better than Galaxy S9+’s Snapdragon 845 variant that scored 264,257.
As of this writing, there are no details available on the other specifications of the phone. Also, it is yet to known when Xiaomi will be officially announcing the BlackShark brand.
