A smartphone with “Xiaomi Cepheus” name has appeared on Geekbench. The listing reveals that it is fueled by the powerful Snapdragon 855 chipset.
The Xiaomi Cepheus smartphone has scored 3,475 and 10,872 points respectively in single-core and multi-core tests on Geekbench. Even though the Geekbench listing does not directly reveal whether it is powered by Snapdragon 855, the high benchmarking scores suggest that it is fueled by the same chipset.
The Snapdragon 855 is coupled with only 6 GB of RAM on the Xiaomi Cepheus device. The handset is running on Android 9 Pie OS. It is yet to be ascertained which upcoming Xiaomi phone has Cepheus codename.
Xiaomi is expected to release at least three Snapdragon 855 powered phones this year such as Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G, Mi 9 and Mi MIX 4. There is possibility that the Cepheus phone could either be the Mi 9 or Mi MIX 4. Earlier today, a new Xiaomi Black Shark Skywalker phone with Snapdragon 855 was spotted on Geekbench.
