A Xiaomi smartphone that carries a codename of Chron has shown up on GFXBench benchmarking site. Previously, the Xiaomi Chiron smartphone was rumored to be either the Mi Note 3 or Mi MIX 2. However, the fresh specs of the Xiaomi Chiron on the benchmarking site suggests that it could be an upcoming phone from the Chinese company.
The Xiaomi Chiron smartphone features a 5.6-inch display that carries support for full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The Mi MIX 2 has a FHD+ resolution supporting 5.99-inch display whereas the Mi Note 3 has a 5.5-inch FHD display.
The Snapdragon 835 chipset along with 6 GB of RAM is at the helm of the Xiaomi Chiron smartphone. The native storage of the smartphone is 256 GB. For photography, it features a 12-megapixel rear camera and a front-facing shooter of 5-megapixel. There is a possibility that the handset may feature a dual camera system on its rear panel. It is preloaded with Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS that is skinned with MIUI 9.
There is no information available on the battery and other features of the Xiaomi Chiron. It could be the long-rumored Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus that may end up releasing before the end of this year. More information on the handset is expected to surface in the coming weeks.
