Recent reports have claimed that Xiaomi is working on a new CIVI branded smartphone for China. The company released an official confirmation that it will be unveiling a new phone named the Xiaomi CIVI 1S at 2:00 PM (local time) on April 21 in the home market. The teaser released by the brand gives a good look at the rear design of the CIVI 1S.
The Xiaomi CIVI 1S poster shows that its design will be identical to the original Xiaomi CIVI from last year. It can be seen sporting a triple camera system on the back. According to tipster WHY LAB, the CIVI 1S will come in Shiny Black, Light Blue, and Pounding Pink colors. It is speculated that the CIVI 1S will be an updated version and not a successor to the original model.

Rumors are rife that the Xiaomi CIVI 1S will come with a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a centrally positioned punch-hole and curved edges. The screen will use LTPO technology and offer Full HD+ resolution. It will also offer a 120Hz refresh rate and an in-screen fingerprint scanner.
For selfies, the Xiaomi CIVI 1S will feature a Sony IMX616 32-megapixel main camera. Its rear camera setup will be headlined by a Samsung GW2 64-megapixel camera. It will be coupled with a Sony IMX355 8-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 2-megapixel B&W lens.
The Snapdragon 778G Plus will power the Xiaomi CIVI 1S. To recall, last year’s model was equipped with the Snapdragon 778G. The CIVI 1S will ship with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of native storage. It will feature a 4,500mAh battery. However, it is unclear whether it will support 55W or 67W rapid charging. The device will boot to the Android 12 OS, which will be overlaid with MIUI 13.
