Last month, Xiaomi announced the Civi 4 Pro in the Chinese market as the first smartphone with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. Despite the initial rumours, there was no vanilla Civi 4 at the launch. That said, there’s finally some news about the regular Xiaomi Civi 4 model. The phone has been spotted at the Play Console listing by TechOutLook, revealing the front design along with some technical details.
Xiaomi Civi 4, codenamed Chenfeng, is listed with the model number “24053PY09C ”. To recall, the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro also has the same model number. That said, the upcoming Civi 4 will be a different phone from the Civi 4 Pro. The biggest giveaway is the circular punch-hole cutout for a single selfie camera at the front. In contrast, the Civi 4 Pro features a pill-shaped cutout for a dual 32-megapixel selfie camera setup.
The phone is powered by a chipset with the model number QTI SM8635, which translates to Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. Thus, the regular Civi 4 will sport the same processor as its Pro sibling. The listing also confirms a 12GB RAM variant. Likewise, the phone will run on Android 14 out of the box.
The phone appears to have a curved display. Similarly, the right frame houses the volume rocker and the power button. As per the listing, the Xiaomi Civi 4 will feature a screen with 1236 x 2750 pixels and a pixel density of 480 PPI.
The C at the end of the “24053PY09C ” model number suggests the Xiaomi Civi 4 will be exclusive to the Chinese market. However, Xiaomi could launch it on the global market under a different name. For reference, the Civi 4 Pro is set to launch in the Indian market with the model number “24053PY09I.”
