A mysterious Xiaomi phone with “Xiaomi E6 “ name has appeared on Geekbench. The Chinese manufacturer has never launched an E series smartphone before. Hence, it is speculated that the Xiaomi E6 moniker could be the codename of an upcoming Redmi budget phone from the company.
As it can be seen in the below, the Xiaomi E6 is powered by an octa-core processor that produces a clocking speed of 2.0 GHz. The Xiaomi E6 has scored 841 and 4259 respectively on single-core and multi-core tests. The SoC of the Xiaomi E6 is coupled with 3 GB of RAM and it is loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo.
The Geekbench listing does not mention the exact name of the SoC that powers it. The processing speed and the Geekbench scores suggest that it could be fueled by Snapdragon 625 SoC that the company has used many times for its smartphones including the recently unveiled Redmi S2. Hence, it could be yet another Redmi series phone from Xiaomi.
Recently, another Xiaomi phone with Xiaomi Strakz moniker was spotted on Geekbench with Snapdragon 625, 4 GB of RAM and Android 8.1 Oreo. There is a possibility that it could be a higher edition of the Xiaomi E6 phone.
