Xiaomi executives have started teasing the arrival of a new phone in the Chinese market. Most likely, the company is teasing the arrival of the Xiaomi Mix Flip, the brand’s much-awaited flip-style foldable phone.
Lu Weibing, partner and president of the Xiaomi Group, has started using a new Xiaomi phone for adding pots on Weibo. In addition, Xiaomi Civi product manager Xinxin Hu mentioned on Weibo that she is busy preparing for a big move. This implies that the company may brand the upcoming flip phone as a Civi model. At present, the device is tentatively referred to as the Xiaomi Mix Flip.
Xiaomi Mix Flip: What’s known so far?
Rumors have it that the Xiaomi phone with model number 2405CPX3DC that was approved by the 3C certification platform in China earlier this month could be the upcoming Xiaomi Mix Flip. The device was spotted with a 67W fast charger at the certification.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset is reportedly powering the device. It is expected to feature a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS support and a 60-megapixel OmniVision OV6A telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. The other details of the phone are yet to be confirmed.
The Mix Flip is expected to release in multiple markets, apart from China. However, it is unlikely to debut in the Indian market. The brand is reportedly developing the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and the Redmi K70 Ultra. These devices are likely to launch in July, whereas the Flip phone may break cover in June.
