Xiaomi’s President for Mobile Division Zeng Xuezhong and Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing has started teasing the arrival of a new smartphone in China. It can be said on the basis of recent reports that the company could be gearing up to announce the Redmi K30S. A tipster had recently claimed that the Redmi K30S will go official on Nov. 1
Xuezhong’s Weibo post suggests that the company is gearing up to launch a flagship phone. It is believed that the Xiaomi Mi 10T flagship phone that recently went official in global markets will be breaking cover in China as the Redmi K30S. The handset has already appeared in the database of China’s TENAA regulatory body with all its specifications and images.
According to a tipster, the Redmi K30S launch date will be confirmed on Oct. 27 and the company will be announcing it on Nov. 1. The arrival of the phone will be timed for the Single’s Day shopping festival that takes place on Nov. 11 in China each year. Another tipster has claimed that the Redmi K30S will carry attractive pricing.

The Redmi K30S has a 6.67-inch IPS LCD display with punch-hole design. The 144Hz refresh rate supporting screen offers full HD+ resolution. It has a front camera of 20-megapixel and its rear side is fitted with a 64-megapixel (Sony IMX682) + 13-megapixel (ultrawide) + 5-megapixel (macro) triple camera system.
The MIUI 12 based Android 10 OS comes preinstalled on the Redmi K30S. It is powered by the Snapdragon 865 mobile platform, LPDDR5 RAM, and 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. It has UFS 3.1 storage but lacks a microSD card slot. Also, the phone does not feature a 3.5mm audio jack.
