During the Redmi Note 11 series launch event, Xiaomi had took some time off to announce the it’s latest milestone, claiming that the company had sold more than 240 million units of Redmi Note series devices globally.
This is of course, a huge jump from the 200 million units that was announced back in May this year, and is even more impressive considering that the company had only shipped 140 million units during the same period last year.
For those who may not know, Xiaomi announced the first Redmi Note series smartphone – Redmi Note 4G – back in 2014 which carries an affordable starting price of just 999 Yuan (US$156).
Since then, the company has kept the starting price of the Note series devices at an accessible level to allow consumers to enjoy better hardware and features without having to fork out more.
Furthermore, Xiaomi had also announced that there will be more than 10,000 Xiaomi stores globally by the end of the month, adding that the success of it’s global expansion is attributed to the ever-growing retail network.
