Xiaomi hints at a 10GB variant for the Mi MIX 3

Earlier today, Chinese manufacturing giant, Xiaomi, made it official that the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 will be arriving on October 25th. Before now, we know that the company is working on a slider phone and it is a flagship device but there was no confirmation on the name of the device or when it will be released. This smartphone will be Xiaomi’s fifth flagship of 2018 after the release of Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S, Xiaomi Mi 8, Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition and Xiaomi Mi 8 on-screen fingerprint version (also called Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro). As of now, there is still no confirmation on the configuration of the Mi MIX 3 and all we have so far are just speculations. Now, Xiaomi has released another poster which shows “5G+10G”. This has given birth to wide speculations on what this smartphone brings.

Obviously, the “5G”, refers 5G network which the company claims is included in this smartphone. However, Qualcomm’s next-generation processor 8150 designed to support 5G network has not yet been released. The Xiaomi MIX 3 will be powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor, thus even if it supports 5G, it must be achieved through a plug-in base. The “10G” on the other hand most likely refers to this phone having a 10GB RAM variant. OPPO Find X has a 10GB so this is not entirely new. What do you think about this smartphone? Let us have your say.
