Xiaomi has announced a new Cosmic Purple colorway for the Redmi Note 8 in India today. This will be the fifth color option for the device, which is currently available in Neptune Blue, Space Black, Moonlight White and Nebula Purple.
According to Xiaomi, this new addition will be available to both the 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB models which are currently priced at INR9,999 (US$140) and INR12,999 (US$182) respectively in the Indian market.
Redmi Note 8 Specifications
The Redmi Note 8 comes with a 6.3-inch IPS LCD display with 1080 x 2340 pixels screen resolution. It has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and offers an impressive 409 ppi density.
Under the hood, the device is driven by an octa-core Snapdragon 665 SoC coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage space.
Moving on to it’s camera, there is a quad-camera setup located on the top left corner of it’s rear chassis which comprises of a 48 megapixels Samsung ISOCELL GM2 sensor, an 8 megapixels ultrawide angle lens, a 2 megapixels dedicated macro camera n and a 2 megapixels depth sensor for portrait mode. At the front, there is also a 13 megapixels camera for selfie and video-calling purposes.
Finally, the Redmi Note 8 is fueled by a 4,000mAh battery which supports 18W fast-charging.
