Xiaomi is heavily speculated to hold an unveil event by the end of this month to announce a variety of new devices. Through its official Weibo account, Xiaomi has confirmed few hours ago that it will be announcing something important tomorrow. It is speculated that the company could be declaring the unveiling of Mi 7 or Mi 8 at the upcoming May 31 launch event tomorrow. The image also contains “SJS” letters in big which does nothing good to suggest on what the company could be announcing tomorrow.
Weibo users are now guessing that SJS could be a designer or a new router, while others are of the view that it could a stadium of the Shenzhen Universiade Center. However, it seems that the Chinese firm may official hint the launching of its 8th anniversary smartphone on May 31. Some rumors claim that the handset could be arriving as Xiaomi Mi 8.
It will be the first Android phone to arrive with 3D facial recognition feature. It is speculated that the handset could be also equipped with under-display fingerprint reader. Rumors are rife that the handset was previously speculated to debut as Mi 7 Plus, but Xiaomi might have renamed it as Mi 8 or Mi 8th Anniversary Edition phone. Some of the other devices that are expected to go official at the May 31 Shenzhen event include Mi 7 and Mi Band 3.
