The upcoming, feverishly anticipated Xiaomi Mi 10 flagship series will reportedly be arriving during the first-quarter of the year according to recent reports out of China.
As usual, the Mi 10 flagship series is expected to bring us a couple of high-end devices which will include the vanilla Mi 10 as well as Mi 10 Pro. It is also highly probable that the company will bring back the Explorer Edition variant for the Mi 10 series as well.
Last month, a mysterious Xiaomi smartphone carrying the model number M2001J1C was certified by both the Chinese TENAA and 3C authorities. The official listing on the certification authority’s database had revealed that the device will be a 5G-ready phone, and will be able to support up to 66W wired fast-charging.
Today, the identity of this mysterious smartphone has finally been revealed and it’s none other than the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro. This discovery was made by one of XDA’s member whom discovered the model numbers, as well as their associated marketing names within the MIUI 11 v20.1.6 nightly build rolled out for the Redmi K30 5G.
According to him, the Xiaomi Mi 10 is associated with the model number M2001J2C, while the Mi 10 Pro on the other hand is associated with the model number M2001J1C.
Courtesy of his discovery, we could now safely say that the Mi 10 Pro will indeed support 66W fast-charging, just like what rumors have been suggesting for the past few months. The upgraded charging technology is said to be able to fuel the device from 0 to 100% within 35 minutes.
Currently, there still isn’t any concrete information pertaining to the Mi 10 Pro. However, recent leaks had revealed that the device scored more than 560K points on AnTuTu. Other than that, we’d also seen a set of alleged live shots of the Mi 10 Pro which we can’t really ascertain it’s authenticity.
Nevertheless, the Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro are expected to be among the first in the world to debut with the newly announced Snapdragon 865 SoC.
