Xiaomi Mi 11 Series to Support MEMC, SDR to HDR, and More

Qualcomm is expected to announce the Snapdragon 875 mobile platform on Dec. 1. It is speculated that Xiaomi will be the first brand in China to launch phones powered by the new chip. The SD875 powered Mi 11 series is rumored to break cover in January next year. A Chinese tipster claimed that the Mi 11 series will come with some advanced settings enhancing video and image quality.

The tipster shared a screenshot of the internal beta firmware of MIUI 12. The image shows that the company has added a couple of advanced features for better viewing experience. Some of these include MEMC support, real-time SDR to HDR, and super resolution that were seen on OPPO’s Find X2 flagship series that debuted earlier this year

The same tipster had recently claimed that the Mi 11 Pro will carry support for quad HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro are expected to arrive with punch-hole screens.

The Mi 11 duo is expected to arrive with support for up to 120W fast charging. There is no information on the other specs of the Mi 11 series.

Samsung is expected to announce its Galaxy S21 series of flagship phones in January next year. Rumors are rife that the Xiaomi Mi 11 series may go official around the same time in China. At present, there is no word on the pricing of the Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro.
