Xiaomi Mi 5C has once again come up under the radar, this time around a Xiaomi model which appeared on China quality certification center’s website is being tipped as the device code-named Meri. The device is also tipped to launch next month which is February.
The listing was alongside four other Xiaomi models with model numbers; 2105212, 2016089, 2016101, MAE136 and MBE6A5. Among the lot, the model with number MAE136 is said to be the elusive Xiaomi Mi 5C. The only detail listed along with the MAE136 is that it uses a 5V/2A rated power adapter, meaning it won’t be supporting fast charging technology.
However, before now the Xiaomi Mi 5C has appeared in several leaks, including those involving its renders. The device has also appeared on benchmark, hitting Geekbench and AnTuTu at different times. As a reminder, it features a 5.5-inch display with 2.5D curved glass, powered by Xiaomi’s own in-house Pine-cone processor, with 3GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a 12MP rear sensor and 8MP front-facing camera. The device will run on MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
