Xiaomi had debuted the its home-baked Surge S1 chipset through the Xiaomi Mi 5C mid-range smartphone. Speculations are rife that the Chinese manufacturer are working on a mid-range version of Xiaomi Mi 6 flagship. The rumored Xiaomi Mi 6C could possibly by the first smartphone to be driven by Surge S2 chipset
The Xiaomi Mi 6C is speculated to debut in the last quarter of this year and it is speculated to come with double-glass body that was seen on Xiaomi Mi 6. It is also expected to be come with dual rear cameras.
The information that has surfaced along with above renders claim that Mi 6C would be coming with double-sided 2.5D curved glass at the front and rear. Its metallic frame will be similar to that of Mi 5. The upper and lower bezel of the phone is expected to be of about 10mm and its side bezels could of 2.5mm. A fingerprint sensor enabled Home button is present below the screen.
The 16nm Surge S2 chipset that features a 2.2 GHz quad-core processor and Mali G71MP12 graphics. It is speculated to power the Mi 6C. It is rumored to come with UFS 2.1 storage and LPDDR4 RAM. It is expected to arrive with a pair of 12-megapixel Sony IMX386 camera sensors.
It has been also revealed that it may arrive in two models such as 4 GB of RAM + 64 GB of ROM and 6 GB of RAM + 128 GB of ROM. Both are speculated to arrive with a respective pricing of 1999 Yuan (~$297) and 2499 Yuan (~$371)
