Xiaomi is speculated to debut the Xiaomi Mi 7 by the end of the month. Leaked firmware files have confirmed that the Mi 7 will be arriving with a notched display like the iPhone X. Moreover, it is expected to debut as the first Android smartphone with support for 3D facial recognition. Fresh photos of the Xiaomi Mi 7 have surfaced today. The new images not only reveal the design of the phone, but also sheds light on some of its key specs.
If the newly leaked images are true, the rear side of the Xiaomi Mi 7 will resemble the recently launched Mi MIX 2S. In the above image, both the phones have Mi branding. The Mi MIX 2S does not feature a Mi branding on the rear. So, the handsets shown in the first image could be the Mi 7 Plus and Mi 7.
The second image shows that the alleged Mi 7 has a large-sized notch which houses the complex sensors for 3D face unlock. The side bezels are slim, but the chin of the phone is comparatively thick. The third image shows that the name of the device as dipper. Previous reports have shown that Dipper is the codename of Mi 7. The image reveals that the Mi 7 features 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of internal storage and Android 8.1.0 Oreo. It is fueled by Snapdragon 845 that includes a 2.8 GHz octa-core processor.
