Recent rumors have claimed that Xiaomi will be launching the Mi 7 flagship phone by the end of this month. The Chinese manufacturer is also rumored to debut the much awaited Mi Band 3 and a special edition 8th anniversary phone called Xiaomi Mi 8. A leaked poster that had surfaced earlier in this month suggested that the Xiaomi Mi 7 would be launching on May 23. However, even though the said date is drawing near, there is no official confirmation on it. A fresh photo has surfaced from China. It shows that a display kept outside of a China Mobile store states that the pre-orders of Mi 7 will begin on May 27.
If the May 27 date is true, it seems that the company is ready to launch its second flagship phone around two months after it had introduced the Mi MIX 2S on March 27. Recent reports have revealed that the Mi 7 will be coming with a 5.65-inch FHD+ display that will feature a notch like the iPhone X> The Snapdragon 845 SoC will be powering the of the phone. It could be available in 6 GB and 8 GB RAM options and storage variants like 64 GB and 128 GB.
The Xiaomi Mi 7 is pegged to feature 3D facial recognition. It is going to be the second flagship phone from Xiaomi to arrive with support wireless charging. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has claimed that the Mi 7 is equipped with an in-screen fingerprint reader.
