In the previous week, Xiaomi had confirmed that it will be launching Xiaomi Mi 8 in 8 GB RAM version on Aug. 14. The day has arrived, and the company has listed the new 8 GB RAM edition of the Mi 8 on its official store.
As it can be seen in the above screenshot, the Xiaomi Mi 8 that comes with 8 GB of RAM includes an internal storage of 128 GB. The handset carries a price tag of 3,299 Yuan. It is interesting to see that the highest 6 GB RAM version that features a native storage of 3,299 Yuan also carries the same pricing. The new model will be available in black and blue colors only. Starting from today, customers in China can purchase it through Mi.com and JD.com
Xiaomi Mi 8 is the second Snapdragon 845 powered smartphone from the company. When Xiaomi had launched it at the end of May, the handset had arrived in multiple storage versions like 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB. All these variants were packed with 6 GB of RAM. The newly announced model is the first 8 GB RAM variant of the Mi 8.
The Mi 8 with 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage carries the same specs as other models. It features 6.28-inch S-AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution. 20-megapixel front-facing camera, IR camera for facial recognition, dual 12-megapixel rear cameras, Quick Charge 4.0 enabled 3,400mAh battery.
