Last week, we reported that a new Xiaomi smartphone with a model number M1808D2TE had been certified by the Chinese TENAA authority. According to reports out of China, this device is none other than the Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth which is currently in Xiaomi’s pipeline.
Right now, the Chinese company has officially confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth will be announced on September 19th next week in Chengdu. This makes it the forth member of the Mi 8 series which currently includes the Mi 8, Mi 8 SE, as well as the Mi 8 Explorer Edition.
According to the TENAA listing, the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth will be arriving with a 6.26-inches display with 2280 x 1080 pixels screen resolution and a 19:9 tall aspect ratio. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 710 SoC alongside 6GB of RAM and 64GB in the memory compartment.
Camera-wise, there is a 12MP dual-camera setup at the back, as well as a 24MP selfie-cam at the front. To keep its lights on, there is also a 3,250mAh non-removable battery under the hood. The listed colour options include black, rose gold, gold, white, blue, red, pink, gray, silver, green, gradient, blue-violet gradient, and purple gold gradient.
