In February, Xiaomi had launched the Xiaomi Mi 9 flagship phone with a starting price of 2,999 Yuan ($435). Today, the Chinese manufacturer has announced a discount of 200 Yuan ($29) for the first time for the Xiaomi Mi 9. The base variant of the phone can be now availed in China for 2,799 Yuan ($406). The pricing of the higher model of the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE has also been discounted by 300 Yuan ($43).
With the new price cut, the Xiaomi Mi 9 is now available as one of the cheapest smartphones powered by Snapdragon 855 chipset in China. The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE smartphone that was unveiled alongside the Mi 9 is the world’s first smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 712 chipset. The Mi 9 SE was introduced in two models in China such as 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage with respective price tags of 1,999 ($290) Yuan and 2,299 Yuan ($333).
Now the pricing of the 128 GB Mi 9 SE has been reduced to 1,999 Yuan ($290).. There is no update on the revised pricing of the base model of the Mi 9 SE. The new price cuts seem to be permanent discounts on these handset. However, there is no official confirmation on it yet.
