Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G with Snapdragon 855+, 12 GB RAM and 512 GB Storage Launched in China

Xiaomi has unveiled the Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G smartphone today alongside the Mi MIX Alpha phone. The Snapdragon 855+ powered Xiaomi phone is equipped with up to 12 GB of RAM and it has up to 512 GB of native storage. It has landed in China as the cheapest 5G phone with a starting price of 3,699 Yuan

The Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G has a full HD+ 6.39-inch S-AMOLED display with in-screen fingerprint reader. The Snapdragon 855+ fuels along with 4,000mAh battery. The smartphone features 40W wired fast charging, 30W wireless rapid charging and 10W reverse charging.

The Mi 9 Pro 5G has Sony IMX586 48-megapixel + 12-megapixel + 16-megapixel triple camera system and 20-megapixel selfie camera like the Mi 9 phone. The graphite-based heat dissipation system coupled with vapour chamber liquid cooling technology that can drastically cut down the internal temperature by up to 10.2 degrees. The MIUI 11 based Android 9 Pie OS runs on the device that tags along the latest Xiao AI 3.0 voice assistant. It also features improved haptic feedback and it lacks support for microSD card and 3.5mm audio jack.

The Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G has been introduced in four models such as 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage. These variants have respective price tags of 3,699 Yuan ($520), 3,799 Yuan ($555), 4,099 Yuan ($576) and 4,299 Yuan ($665). Dream White and Titanium Black are the two color editions of the smartphone. The pre-sales of the phone have begun in China. The first sale of the smartphone will take place on Sept. 27.
