The Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G had gone on sale for the first time in China. A screenshot of the smartphone’s listing on JD.com reveals that it got sold out in just 2 minutes after being made available for buying at 10 AM (local time). Xiaomi has confirmed that it will be holding the second sale of the smartphone on Oct. 2 in the home market.
The Mi 9 Pro 5G is Xiaomi’s second 5G-ready phone after the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G. The handset has arrived as the successor of the Xiaomi Mi 9 smartphone that was made official in February this year. The 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage editions of the smartphone are respectively priced at 3,699 Yuan ($519), 3,799 Yuan ($532), 4,099 Yuan ($574) and 4,299 Yuan ($600).

The Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G has a Super AMOELD display with dot notch. It offers full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and 19.5:9. The Snapdragon 855+ mobile platform powers the smartphone along with up to 12 GB of RAM. The 48-megapixel + 12-megapixel + 16-megapixel triple camera setup is available on the backside of the phone. It has a front-facing camera of 20-megapixel. The handset has a 4,000mAh battery that supports 40W wired charging, 30W wireless charging and 10W reverse charging.
