Xiaomi has announced that the company had kicked off their much awaited MIUI Android Q (Beta 6) internal testing for the Xiaomi Mi 9 and Redmi K20 Pro duo which are running on MIUI Developer ROM.
Since this is not a public beta, only those who’re enrolled for the internal testing program will be able to receive the update. However, it still signifies a step closer towards the release of the official stable version.
Besides the Xiaomi Mi 9 and Redmi K20 Pro, there are 9 other Xiaomi smartphones which were scheduled for Android Q beta testing between Q4 2019 to Q1 2020. These devices include Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, Redmi Note 7. Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi K20, Xiaomi Mi 8, Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition, Xiaomi Mi 8 Screen Fingerprint Edition, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S, as well as Xiaomi Mi Mix 3.
We believe that the aforementioned list isn’t exhaustive and there will definitely be more smartphones being added to the Android Q upgrade list in the near future. For the time being, it’s definitely good to see that the Chinese smartphone maker is sticking by their schedule for the internal testing.
