Xiaomi Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite Unveiled In Spain

Xiaomi Mi A2

For several weeks now, there has been rumors and speculations regarding the second generation stock Android smartphones from Xiaomi. After the company released the Xiaomi Mi A1 last year, it has decided to extend the series by unveiling two phones. Well, there is really nothing new about these devices save for the fact that they are on the Android One program. While the Xiaomi Mi A2 is a rebranded Xiaomi Mi 6X, the Mi A2 Lite is a rebranded Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro. Let us take a look at the major features of these smartphones.

Xiaomi Mi A2

The Xiaomi Mi A2 is powered by an AI-assisted Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB memory with an option of a 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. It has an aluminum body design and it looks just like the Mi 6X. It is equipped with a 5.99-inch screen with a display resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels and an 18:9 aspect ratio. The camera department is quite interesting as this smartphone comes with a 12MP+20MP dual rear shooter coupled with another 20MP camera for selfies. Note that the 20MP cameras are all AI assisted and according to Xiaomi, it gives a far better image even in low light conditions through its “Super Pixel” feature which can be turned on manually from the camera app. Like we already know, the Xiaomi Mi A2 will run on pure Android Oreo and its battery will be a 3000 mAh battery.

Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite

The Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite, on the other hand, comes with a smaller 5.84-inch display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080p resolution and an aspect ratio of 19:9. This display has a notch but the reason why Xiaomi included a notch is not known. This smartphone closely follows the Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro and it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core chipset clocking 2GHz. It has 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB. In the camera department, we got a 12MP+5MP dual rear cameras supported by another 5MP shooter which is quite decent for a Lite version. There is a huge 4000mAh battery to keep the lights on.

The Xiaomi Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite will be available in Spain, France, and Italy between July/August. However, if you can’t wait for it to arrive in your region, you can order it from Gearbest, Geekbuying, Banggood or any other online store that have listed these smartphones.
