On Dec. 16, Xiaomi had launched the Xiaomi Mi AI Touchscreen Speaker Pro 8 in China. As scheduled, the smart speaker is now available for buying in the home market with a pricing of 599 Yuan. However, customers who registered for can get it for 499 Yuan. The sales of the Xiaomi Mi AI Touchscreen Speaker Pro 8 have started from today in China.
The Mi AI Touchscreen Speaker Pro 8 is Xiaomi’s edition that works like Google Nest Hub / Hub Max and Amazon Echo Show. The device is equipped with an 8-inch display that offers a resolution of 1200 x 800 pixels and its base is fitted with a speaker. The right side of the screen features volume buttons and a power key. The top bezel of the device has a front-facing camera. The smart display can work as an alarm device, digital photo gram and a Bluetooth speaker.
The device is fitted with three subwoofers with each measuring in 50.8mm in size. They are coupled with equipped with Neodymium Iron Boron magnets and are powered with DTS technology. It has been designed to work with a wide range of third-party devices from other brands like Philips, Yeelight and more.
Connectivity between the speaker and smart home products can be achieved using the Advanced Bluetooth Mesh Gateway. In March, the company will release an update that will allow connectivity through voice commands. Video and audio streaming services such as TikTok and QQ Music are available on the device. Kids can watch content curated for children and it will also comes with child security features.
