Xiaomi fans are eagerly waiting to find out the different devices that it will be launching on May 31. The Chinese manufacturer has already confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi 8 flagship phone and the MIUI 10 Android skin will be made official at the upcoming Shenzhen event. Today, Xiaomi Senior VP Wang Xiang has confirmed today through a tweet that the company will be also launching the highly anticipated Mi Band 3 fitness tracker along with aforementioned devices on Thursday.

Recent reports have revealed that the major update that will be arriving on the Mi Band 3 is an inclusion of a touch-sensitive display and support for gesture-based navigation. Some rumors have claimed that it may feature a color display.
Apart from these features, the Mi Band 3 could be coming with same features such as IP67 certified body and removable strap like the predecessor model. The Mi Band 2 features Bluetooth 4.0, but the successor will be arriving with support for Bluetooth 4.2 as well as NFC connectivity. Since it is a fitness tracker, it will also include usual features like heart rate sensor, step calculator, calorie counter and sleep tracker.
Gestures like tapping on the capacitive key is expected to work as Back function while pressing it for slightly longer duration may allow users to use it as Confirm feature. There is no information available on its pricing yet.
