We have about 24 hours to the much-awaited unveiling of the Xiaomi Mi 8. Although Xiaomi Mi 8 will definitely be the high point of the event, we are also expecting the release of other devices like the Xaomi Mi Band 3, MIUI 10 and most recently, we heard that there is also a new Xiaomi VR headset coming out tomorrow. It appears that the Xiaomi Mi Band 3 seem long overdue, but it is arriving right on time considering the fact that the first generation Xiaomi Mi Band was released in July 2014 while the second generation Xiaomi Mi Band 2 arrived in June 2016. Thus the company seem to be taking two years to release a new Mi Band. Should we expect the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 in 2020? LOL, It’s too early to talk about that, let’s just concentrate on the Mi Band 3. A newly released warm-up poster for the Xiaomi Mi Band 3 comes with the title “Direct display __, raised his hand to report news from all sides”. This indicates that this band comes with a feature that allows users to light up the screen with the lift of the wrist.
The Xiaomi Mi Band 3 is definitely an advancement from the Mi Band 2 but it comes with an OLED display just like its predecessor and displays time, heart rate, and step number. This wearable will also support other features such as step counting, sleep monitoring, heart rate monitoring, call reminders, screen unlocking, vibration alarm, sedentary reminder and other functions.
