Xiaomi has been speculated to launch the successor of Mi Max phablet in this month. Fresh rumors indicate that the alleged Mi Max 2 may get announced on May 23.
According to a leakster from China, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 would be coming in two CPU modes. The Standard variant will be powered by Snapdragon 626 model featuring 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. The High variant would be powered by Snapdragon 660 chipset that will featuring 128 GB of storage. This variant is also expected to feature 6 GB of RAM.
As far as display is concerned, it will continue to feature 6.44-inch screen. A recent rumor has revealed that it will be coming with a 12-megapixel Sony IMX378 rear camera sensor which is also available on Xiaomi Mi 5s and Google Pixel phones. It is will be arriving with a 5-megapixel selfie snapper. It is also expected to come with a USB Type-C port and will be loaded with Andriod Nougat OS.
The original Mi Max came with 4,850mAh battery. However, the Mi Max 2 will include a larger battery of 5,000mAh capacity. The leakster claims the High variant will not cost more than 1,999 Yuan ($289). Previous rumors have revealed that the Standard and High models would be respectively costing 1,499 Yuan ($217) and 1,699 Yuan ($246).
