After the recent unveiling of the Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus, it seems like the next handset to fall victim to the rumor mills is none other than the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 which is slated to be announced during the second quarter of 2018.

Earlier today, a new report out of China had claimed that the upcoming Mi Max 3 will be coming with a slightly larger display size which is alleged to be 7-inches in size, up from the current 6.44-inches screen on the Mi Max 2. Furthermore, it was also mentioned that the phablet’s display will have a 18:9 aspect ration – making the device one of the first phablet to sport a widescreen display. As for its screen resolution, it was purported to be 1080 x 2160 pixels.
Moving on, the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 was rumored to come in two different versions as well. The entry-level model is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 630 SoC with 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage space. The higher-end variant on the other hand, will be powered by a Snapdragon 660 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB/ 128GB onboard storage space. Like the other Mi Max predecessor, the new Mi Max 3 will also be housing a 5,500mAh mammoth battery under the hood for hours of continuous entertainment on the go.
For now, let’s take this with just a pinch of salt given that we’re still pretty far away from its unveiling day. In the mean time, do stay with us for more updates on the Mi Max 3!
