Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 went on sale for the first time today at 10 AM in China. Even though the Chinese firm had prepared huge stock of the Mi MIX 2, the entire stock was sold out in less than a minute.
Before beginning the sale of the MI MIX 2, interested customers were allowed to pre-register it. It was found that the Mi MIX 2’s pre-registration on official site and Jingdong mall exceeded 100 million mark. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 was made available for purchase through multiple online channels such as the official site, Lynx, Jingdong and Suning. However, the Mi MIX 2 was sold out in 58 seconds! The next sale will begin on Sept. 19.
Xiaomi’s co-founder, Lin Bin claimed on Weibo that he did not expect the Mi MIX 2 to meet such a strong response. He added that even though the company had prepared sufficient stock, the handset has sold out.
The Mi MIX 2 is available through 110 retail outlets across China. Bin himself paid a visit to Beijing Hualian Shopping Center to check the availability of the phone. He confirmed that the Mi MIX 2 is still available in stock. However, it is not readily available for purchase at retail outlets. Buyers are required to make an appointment (through WeChat) and then pick the phone from the store.
