Xiaomi has released an official announcement on his Weibo account that it will be debuting the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 on September. The event will be organized at the Beijing University of Technology Gymnasium at 2 PM local time.
The above poster revealed by Xiaomi states that the MI MIX 2 will be arriving with full screen 2.0 design. It could be hinting that the Mi MIX 2 will offer a higher screen-to-body ratio than the predecessor model. In order to avoid mass production problems, the Mi MIX 2 is expected to be available in a metallic body instead of a ceramic chassis.
Rumors have revealed that Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 will sport a 6-inch full-screen display which is smaller than 6.4-inch display of the original Mi MIX. It will be powered by Snapdragon 835 chipset and may feature a 3,400mAh battery. Speculations are rife that it may feature a 3D facial recognition sensor.
It is expected to come loaded with MIUI 9 flavored Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The 6 GB RAM / 128 GB storage edition of the MI MIX 2 is rumored to cost 3,999 Yuan (~$600) whereas the higher model featuring 8 GB RAMĀ / 256 GB storage may be available for 4,999 Yuan (~$750).
