The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 has been officially unveiled after several months of speculations on its specs and design. Like the original MI MIX concept phone, the new Mi MIX 2 impressive with its specifications, appeal and pricing.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 Design, Display and Camera
The Mi MIX 2 is shorter and narrower than the predecessor phone. The original Mi MIX measured 158.8 x 81.9 mm, but the dimensions of the newer MI MIX 2 are 151.8 x 75.4mm. It has a ceramic chassis that is curved on all four sides and a 7000-series aluminum alloy frame.
It has a 5.99-inch FHD+ IPS LCD screen that supports a resolution of 2,160 x 1,080 pixels. It produces an aspect ratio of 18:9 and offers a huge scree-to-body ratio of about 90 percent.
It features a Sony IMX386 f/2.0 aperture camera sensor with 4-axis OIS and dual LED flash present on its rear panel. The backside of the phone also houses a fingerprint reader. The front side of the Mi MIX 2 features a 5-megapixel selfie camera.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 Chipset, Variants and Pricing
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is powered by Snapdragon 835 chipset. The original Mi MIX has a 4,400 mAh battery, but the successor model houses a smaller battery of 3,400mAh capacity. Its 6 GB RAM variant will be coming in multiple storage choices of 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB. These models will be respectively priced at 3,299 Yuan (~$506), 3,599 Yuan (~$552) and 3,999 Yuan (~$613).
There will be a special edition Mi MIX 2 featuring 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. It can be availed for 4,699 Yuan (~$721). All the models support global LTE bands.
