During the Snapdragon Tech Summit 2017 that was held in December last year, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun had confirmed that the next flagship phone from the company would be fueled by Snapdragon 845 chipset. Even though he did not say that the Xiaomi Mi 7 will be the first flagship phone from the company to feature the SD845, the rumor mill started speculating that Mi 7 is the smartphone that he was referring. Recent reports have also suggested that the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S phone will be unveiled at MWC 2018.
Now that the Mi MIX 2S is speculated to debut at MWC 2018, rumors are now claiming that the Mi 7’s launch event could be pushed to April or May. The Mi MIX 2S is expected to feature an 18:9 aspect ratio supporting display and its leaked photos have suggested that it could be sporting a notch like the iPhone X. The Snapdragon 845 chipset on the Mi MIX 2S could be coupled with 6 GB of RAM. The handset may arrive with a native storage of 128 GB.
It is likely to arrive with a single camera on its rear panel. Rumors have it that it will be featuring the yet to be announced Sony IMX363 sensor.
