Xiaomi President Lin Bin has shared an image of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 flagship phone. He has also confirmed that the company will be releasing the smartphone in October.
Last year, Xiaomi had launched the Mi MIX 2 smartphone on Sept. 11, a day ahead of iPhone X launch event. This year, it seems that the Chinese manufacturer does not want to stay away from the launch of new iPhones that are pegged to go official on Sept. 12. Hence, the company has decided to unveil the highly anticipated Mi MIX 3 in October.
The above shown Mi MIX 3 image that was shared by Xiaomi President shows that the handset will be offering an impressive full screen experience. The chin is absent and there is no notch, but there is a slider that houses the front-facing camera, speaker and other sensors. There is a possibility that it could also include sensors for 3D facial recognition. It appears that unlike the Find X that has a motorized assembly that slides up and down, the entire rear of the Mi MIX 3 may slide upwards.
As of this writing, there is no information available on the specifications of the smartphone. However, it can be speculated that it will be equipped with Super AMOLED screen with in-display fingerprint scanner, Snapdragon 845, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
