Today, Xiaomi’s upcoming Mi Pad 5 tablet had apparently been certified by China’s MIIT authority which hints that the tablet is finally nearing it’s debut in it’s home market. This of course, fell in line with past reports which claimed that the Mi Pad 5 will be launched during the second-halve of the year.

Just like the newly announced Huawei MatePad 11, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 is also tipped to be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 870 chipset under the hood. In fact, we are also expecting a ”Pro” model that’s driven by a Dimensity 1200 chipset apart from the Mi Pad 5.

Coming back to the Mi Pad 5, other specs we are looking at also include an 11” LCD display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution and a smooth 120Hz s creen refresh rate. as well as a 240Hz touch sampling rate. Most importantly, the Mi Pad 5 is also said to come with stylus support this time round as well.
