Xiaomi has debuted the Xiaomi Mi Play as its first smartphone with waterdrop notch screen. Also, it is the first phone to be fueled by the new mid-range Helio P35 chipset from MediaTek. It has landed in China with a price tag of 1,099 Yuan ($160).

Xiaomi Mi Play features a color gradient glass panel on its rear. The handset comes in three color choices in Twilight Gold, Fantasy Blue and Black. The handset weighs 150 grams and sports a slim profile of 7.5mm.
The Mi Play houses a 5.84-inch waterdrop notch screen that produces full HD+ resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. The Helio P35 is a 12nm chipset that includes a 2.3 GHz octa-core processor. The SoC is coupled with 4 GB of RAM. For storage, the handset offers a native storage of 64 GB. There is no microSD card slot on the device.
The vertical dual camera setup that is present on the top-left corner. It includes a 12-megapixel main sensor with a pixel size of 1.3 micron and a secondary depth sensor of 2-megapixel. It features a selfie shooter of 8-megapixel camera. There is a 3,000mAh battery inside the smartphone. There is no 3.5mm audio jack on the device.
Xiaomi Mi Play will be available for purchase from tomorrow in China with a price tag of 1,099 Yuan ($160). The Chinese manufacturer is providing 10 GB monthly data for a period of 1 year to the buyers of Mi Play.
