Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite Unboxing & Hands-On!

Known for their value for money fitness bands, Xiaomi has also ventured into the world of smartwatches in the global market with Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite being the latest addition to their growing portfolio.

Much like any other wearables launched by Xiaomi, the Mi Watch Lite builds upon the company’s no-frills approach, offering exactly everything you need at an affordable price point of just S$89 in Singapore.

On the outside, the new Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite features a stylish 1.4-inches TFT color touch display which comes with support for automatic brightness adjustment. Even when out for a walk during a sunny afternoon, the display remains visible and that’s definitely one of the most important feature for a fitness-based smart watch.

As mentioned earlier, the Mi Watch Lite utilizes a TFT display. As such, there won’t be an always-on display feature. However, it do comes with a handy raise to wake feature that helps to fill the gap – allowing you to easily check the time by simply raising your wrist.

Although the Mi Watch Lite comes with only 5 pre-installed watch faces, but you can easily download more than 100 different watch faces through the Xiaomi Wear app and transfer it over to the watch. Along with all the customization options available, you can give the Mi Watch Lite a fresh outlook everyday base on your mood.

Next, its adjustable TPU strap also feels pretty comfortable on the skin even during a heavy workout. Most importantly, the watch also offers up to 5 ATM water resistance, so you can have a peace of mind when wearing it while you swim.

In terms of health and fitness, the Mi Watch Lite has all the crucial health monitoring trackers including the commonly used heart rate monitoring and sleep monitoring features.

Likewise, there’s also 11 different workout modes including outdoor running, treadmill, outdoor cycling, open water swimming, freestyle, pool swimming, cricket, trekking, trail run, walking and indoor cycling.

Other than that, it also comes along with support for GPS and GLONASS positioning systems, daily health and fitness records, ability to instantly view calls, texts and app notifications, music player control, whether reports, alarms, stopwatch, timer and many others.

Under moderate usage condition, the Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite easily last last me more than a week of usage. Quite impressively, a full charge takes only a mere two hours.
