Apparently, Xiaomi’s co-founder Liwan Jiang has confirmed on his Weibo account earlier today that the upcoming Xiaomi Mi5 smartphone will be featuring the latest Snapdragon 820 SoC.
According to sources, the Xiaomi Mi5 is expected to be unveiled during an official event on January 21st, while sales are slated to start on February 8th instead.
From what we know, this much anticipated handset will be sporting a 5.2″ QHD display and comes with an incredible 4GB RAM as well as 16GB storage onboard. Camera-wise, you can expect to see a 16MP main camera and a 13MP front-facing camera equipped on the device. Of course, this device is also expected to cost slightly more than its previous generations as the price is rumored to be tagged at more than $400.
