In China, Xiaomi is reportedly gearing up to launch the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, a horizontally foldable phone. At the same time, the brand is also said to be working on its first flip-style foldable phone, dubbed the Xiaomi Mix Flip. A report by GizmoChina reveals that the two phones will also have satellite communications versions.
As per the report, the satellite communication versions of the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip have 24076PX3BC and 2405AVPB7C model numbers, respectively. As per other reports, the Mix Fold 4 is codenamed “Ruyi,” and its regular variant has the 24072PX77C model number.
On the other hand, the Xiaomi Mix Flip has the “Goku” codename. The regular version of the device is said to have the 2405CPX3DC model number. A reliable leaker from China suggests that the Mix Flip’s satellite communication version may have been cancelled.
Currently, there is uncertainty regarding the global release of the Xiaomi Mix Flip and Mix Fold 4. It is likely that both devices may come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
The Mix Flip will face competition from the Honor Magic V Flip, which is set to launch on June 13 in China. On the other hand, the Mix Fold 4 is expected to compete with the existing Vivo X Fold 3 Pro and the upcoming foldable phones, such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Honor Magic V3. As far as the launch is concerned, the next-generation Xiaomi foldables may debut in July in China.
