Later this month, Xiaomi will announce the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip in China. The same event may also see the arrival of the Redmi K70 Ultra. The Mix Flip will compete with the likes of the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra, the Honor Magic V Flip, and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 in the Chinese market. A new leak by tipster Panda is Bald has revealed that it will pack one of the largest batteries seen on a clamshell foldable phone.
Currently, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1-powered Honor Magic V Flip has the largest battery with a capacity of 4,800mAh. It comes with support for 66W fast charging. The Motorola Razr 50 Ultra has a 4,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging, whereas the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is expected to house a 4,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging.
The new leak reveals that the Xiaomi Mix Flip will have a 4,700mAh battery with 67W fast charging. It will be the most powerful flip-style foldable phone, as it will come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Hence, it is expected to offer the best chipset and battery combination among its rivals.
Other reports have revealed that the Xiaomi Mix Flip’s base model will offer 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. It is also expected to come in 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB variants.
On the back, the Mix Flip is expected to feature a 4-inch cover display flanked by dual camera rings. An external earpiece is also rumored to be located just above the display. It may include a side-facing fingerprint sensor for security.
The rear camera setup will have a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support. A 60-megapixel OmniVision OV60A telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom will accompany it.
