As the launch of the Xiaomi Mix Fold gets 4 inches closer, more leaks surrounding the upcoming foldable have surfaced online. Just recently, Digital Chat Station, a trusted source, revealed the chipset and general specifications of the Mix Flip and Mix Fold 4. And now, a new leak has emerged, providing intricate details about the battery and camera specifications.
As per the Digital Chat Station, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 will feature two batteries, 2390 mAh and 2,485 mAh, with a combined capacity of 4,875 mAh (rated value). Xiaomi will most likely list it as a 5,000mAh dual-cell battery. The charging speed is yet unknown. However, the phone will have support for wireless charging.
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 will sport a quad camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary shooter and a periscope telephoto camera. The main camera will have a 1/1.55” image sensor and will come equipped with optical image stabilization. The periscope camera will pair a 5x optical lens with a 10-megapixel image sensor. Another telephoto camera, the ½.8″ Omnivision OV60A, will have a 2x optical zoom. Finally, a 12-megapixel camera will be available for ultrawide shots.
The tipster also adds that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 will have a glass back with a textured finish. It will be reinforced by high-strength material frames. The current weight of the phone is 22x grams. This makes it lighter than the Honor Magic V2, which Mix Fold 4 is said to compete against for the title of the world’s thinnest foldable. That said, it is not enough to beat the Vivo X Fold 3, the lightest foldable phone. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip will power the Mix Fold 4, which will debut with a certain level of water resistance.
Xiaomi is expected to unveil the Mix Fold 4 in Q3 2024. The phone will be unveiled alongside the company’s first flip phone, Xiaomi Mix Flip. Both phones will be exclusive to China.
