Xiaomi may unveil the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 foldable phone in August in China. It will rival the likes of the Honor Magic V3 and the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro in the Chinese market. Reliable leaker Evan Blass has released a leaked image of the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 to showcase its design for the first time.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 design leak
The leaked image reveals that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 has a prominent rectangular camera module at the top. It has a quad-camera setup and a Leica branding inside. The rest of the back seems to have a faux leather finish. The leaker claims that the thickness of the device is under 10mm and it will also offer IPX8 rating for water resistance.
Rumors are rife that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 will have a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS support. It could be joined by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens and an OmniVision OV60A telephoto camera that offers 2x optical zoom. The setup is also expected to feature a 10-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with support for 5x optical zoom.
The Mix Fold 4 leak reveals that it will run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and a 5,000mAh+ battery. While there is no information about the wired charging speed of the Mix Fold 4, it is tipped to support wireless charging. Other reports have claimed that the Mix Fold 4 will have support for two-way satellite communication. Unfortunately, the other details of the foldable phone are yet to be revealed.
It’s prudent to approach the leaked information with caution, as Evan Blass has referred to the image as a “work product,” suggesting that the final design could differ from what’s currently depicted. Leaks often show early or prototype versions of products, and manufacturers may make changes before the official release.
