Xiaomi is reportedly working on the Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 foldable phone for the Chinese market. While there is no launch timeframe, it is likely to launch in the third quarter of the year, like its predecessor. Today, tipster Digital Chat Station shared some details of an upcoming foldable phone without mentioning its name. It seems that the leaker could be talking about the MIX Fold 4.
It can be said based on what the tipster posted on Weibo that it will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The device will have 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. In addition, it will also support two-way satellite communication.
He hinted that the MIX Fold 4 will have a 5,0000mAh+ battery. However, he did not mention the exact size. To recall, the MIX Fold 3 featured a 4,800mAh battery. The foldable phone will support 100W fast charging and wireless charging.
The leaker also claimed that a major highlight of the device is its lightweight design. Despite housing a larger battery, the MIX Fold 3 weighs 255 grams, indicating that its successor could weigh well under 250 grams. The leaker hinted that the device’s weight would be comparable to that of the 14 Ultra, which weighs around 220 grams.
The MIX Fold 4’s rear camera setup will have a 50-megapixel main camera with a large aperture. A new periscope telephoto camera will be joining it. The leaker also said that the device will have a customized x-axis motor and a waterproof rating.
